Betty J. Hightower was born on May 15, 1941 to the late W. A. Holloway and Elvira Holloway.
Mrs. Hightower moved to Ohio at an early age where she attended school in Cleveland, Ohio. She married Eugene Hightower and to this union four daughters were born. She later moved back to Atlanta, Georgia where she was employed by Southern Bell until her illness.
During her illness, she never lost courage and remained in very good spirits throughout. She was a devoted and loving mother that helped to inspire and influence her entire family to love and care for one another.
She was a dedicated servant -of Jehovah God and looked forward to his promise of a paradise earth where no one would get sick, grow old or die.
Mrs. Hightower is survived by her husband, Eugene Hightower; four daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Lowe (Daphne), Valerie Hightower, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McWorter (Alesia), and Janean Hightower; mother, Elvira Holloway; one sister, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hill (Mary); one brother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Holloway, Jr.; grandchildren, J ocelynn, Curtis, Jr. , and Crystal; an adopted daughter, Stephanie McKinnon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
