Ms. Delores uTuggar" Hickson was born on October 16, 1954 to the late Mrs. Rosa Dell Hickson and Mr. Roscoe Johnson. She received her formal education from Stonewall Elementary School and Lakeshore High School.
Delores accepted Christ at an early age and joined Piney Grove Baptist Church of College Park, Georgia under the leadership of the late Rev. 0. R. Cantrell. In 2001 she joined Christians for Change Baptist Church in Riverdale, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Michael W. Baldwin.
At a young age, Delores became a member of her sisters' family gospel group known as the "Morning Stars" where they sang all over the Atlanta area. She was a very dedicated hard worker who loved working as a missionary meeting people and sharing the word of God with them where ever she went. Everybody loved "Ms. Dee" or "Mama Dee" as she was sometimes called. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was always loving and caring for them and taking them to church with her whenever possible.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Rosa Dell Hickson and Mr. Roscoe Johnson; two brothers, AL Junior Hickson and Eugene Hickson; two sisters, Hazel Hickson and Mildred Hickson.
