ORDER OF SERVICE

Deacon Hayes joined Mt. Prospect Baptist Church at a very early age and was a faithful member until his health began to fail. He was ordained a deacon on January 23, 1994. He is also a proud member of Carver High School's class of 1966. While attending West Georgia College he also worked at Tanner Medical Center, Villa Rica. In 1970 he started a six month traininil5togram in Omaha, Nebraska in preparation for his thirty two years of service with the Georgia Department of Agriculture; The last nine years as one of two state compliance officers.

Deacon Hayes met the love of his life, the former Yvonne Eason on Valentine's Day in 1979. Cupid's arrow was so strong and accurate that they married on May 31st of the same year. From that thirty-six-year union, they raised five children.

Deacon Hayes had a passion for many things, but no e more so than his love for his family and his love of life in

general. He was more than willing to give

e to volunteer to help others. He volunteered with several AAU

basketball programs coaching young

during the summer. He also volunteered at Frederick Douglass

High School in Atlanta, using every

ple. His fondness for cooking ribs built

o love, community, and camaraderie not only with his family but

with everyon he came in contact with
