Now that I've come to the end ofthe road And the sun has setfor me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, Why cry for a soul setfree?
Miss me a little .-.J but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared.
Miss Me r-.1 But Let Me Go.
For this is a journey that we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all a part ofthe Master's plan

Robert Lee Harris was born on June 3, 1936 to the late Sarah Berry and Eddie Harris. He was the youngest of 12 children. From the beginning, Sarah taught Robert Lee that there was nothing more important than family relationships. In fact, she named him after two of his older brothers, Robert and Eddie Lee. Robert was educated in the Henry County School System.
From the beginning, Robert Lee had a passion for the outdoors. As a boy, he enjoyed playing ball with his siblings, cousins and friends. In fact, he and his nephews and cousins dammed the creek and created a "wash hole" where they would go swimming. His passion for the outdoors and sports continued until his illness.
The story is told that all of the Harris siblings had a nickname except Robert Lee. He pondered and gazed around the room and noticed the knob on the door. As a young lad, he decided that his nickname would be "DOORKNOB."
