Mayor Shirley Franklin, City ofAtlanta
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell,
The third day he rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost,
The holy catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting. Amen.

Always yours, Kim
In the 1nist of teary eyes, I snzile at the thoughts of your caring ways. Dad, all 1ny life you have been the support that 1nade nze tohole. My first fall , you caught nze. ]Vfy first tear, you wiped. .lvfy first born, yo u em braced lil?e a pearlz.cz:th in an oyster. l\Tou, I sit ba ch and LLonder what will I do without you? How Lcill I go on ? I then decided to pray and ash God to give 1ne strength and understandz:ng. Why 1ny Dad ? So young ... so full of life ... so soon. Well, I began to understand that we are all God's children no matter what color, creed, age, or denom,ination. God has pronu:sed us eternal life in a better place, one that we can't ecen in1agine while in hu1nan fonn. I also hnow that you live on in spirit and will always uatch over nLe. You have not died but graduated to eternal bliss; where you zDill li ve fore ver. Kennedi has started ashing questions about z.uhere her Paw-Paw is. She's too young to understand, but she feels your presence within her heart. lV.l.other is being strong and standing tall . She's ready to be the second leg on your relay team, and carry the baton in this race we call life. As you sit on your panel of angels', no need to worry. You pretty much wrote the preface, nozc we will live out the rest of the story.
I love you aluays, Kiesha
Daddy, Now that you are gone my world has changed. I have graduated from the role of baby girl
to an adult in just a few hours. You have been my lighthouse and anchor. Through all my mistakes and 'different' choices, you found a positive point in everything I did. You never turned your back on me and kept your arms around me. I know that you are gone now, but I can close my eyes and see you.
I will always love you, Kai
