Pastor,s Favorites '~ ..It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Acts 20:35 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
St. John 3:16 Pastor,s Declaration "I'm not going to retire until the Lord retires me!"
2

"We, having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. Knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace 1night through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward 1nan perish, yet the inward 1nan is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a mo1nent, worketh for us a far 1nore exceeding and eternal weight ofglory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are te1nporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
II Corinthians 4:13-18

Edward Harris ... a husband, father, leader and friend. For many years, he has touched the lives of people. Through his preaching the gospel, tape ministry, tracts, etc., he continues to impact mankind.
Edward Harris was born February 26, 1920 to the late Willis and Beatrice Scott Harris in Gay, Georgia. During his early childhood, he and his mother, along with his sister, Martha (deceased), relocated to Atlanta where he went to public school. While attending a high school basketball game, he approached and became acquainted with Frances Billups, who later became his wife in 1941. He never neglected to show and express to Frances, and to those who knew them, his devout love for her.
He served his country during VWVII as staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. Upon his return he continued to develop his career as a brick mason. He later excelled as a contractor, building homes, apartments, hotels, etc. within the Atlanta and Buckhead communities.
He was affectionately known by Frances as "Baby Snooks", to his family as "Brother", and by his peers as "Bra' Moon".
In the late 50's he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour and became eager to learn more about his religious convictions. He attended church regularly with his family. He was a faithful and devoted believer and anxiously sought for deeper depths and higher heights in the Lord.
In the early 60's, he and his wife, along with others, had a vision to establish a house of worship. Thus began the foundation of The Move of God Church. A multiplicity of people have entered these doors ... a lighthouse to those seeking refuge and direction. For over forty years, Reverend Harris has served as a dedicated pastor, shepherd and mentor. Testimonies of salvation, healing and deliverance have been shared and broadcast over the world. Because of his answer to the call God placed on his life, we, The Move of God Church family, treasure his teachings and now enjoy fruitful lives and a certain future .
Pastor Harris' memory and accomplishments will be cherished by the love of his life, Mrs. Frances B. Harris; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William A . Walker (Cassandra); son, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Edward Harris (Audrey); daughter, Reverend and Mrs. Louis E. Spear (Denise); six grandchildren, Ms. Tawn Harris, Ms. Ronda Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain White (Lawathia), Ms. Shinoca Harris, Ms. L'nita White, and Little Ms. Autumn Woodall; nine greatgrandchildren, Johniciya, Dontavious, Jehmia, Kasey, D'Vawn, Diamond, Trent, Kaylen, and Jhivon; niece, Ms. Joyce Jones; nephew, Mr. Leroy Jones; business associate for fifty-seven years, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Favors; close friend, Reverend R. W. Schambach and family; devoted worker, Mr. Roy Ingram; spiritual sons, Reverend Philip Imler of Youngstown, Ohio, and Bishop ArvelI Garrett of St. Louis, Missouri ; goddaughter, Ms. Robin Walters; godson, Mr. Kevin Rosser; The Move of God Church Family; and a host of other relatives, business associates, neighbors, and friends.

Edward and I met at a basketball game during our early adult days. After meeting he became very persistent and he felt he should be a part of my life everyday. We felt an attraction to each other and he wanted to marry me right away. I wasn't quite as ready for marriage as he was, but, by him being so persistent, one day I said, Yes! On December 6, 1941, I took him as my husband and he took me to be his wife. Our life began and we grew together.
In 1943, he had to go into the Army to serve 3 years. Upon his return he continued his trade in masonry work, as an apprentice under his uncle. He worked hard learning and perfecting this talent and proceeded to become one of Atlanta's best. Some years later he formed a contracting partnership with Mr. Marvin Favors and they built some of the very best quality homes under Harris and Favors Builders, which has lasted 57 years.
In later years the Lord drafted him into His army and he had to lay aside his tools and pick up the Word of God. For 40 years he has served as a faithful and dedicated servant of God, declaring the truth of God's work until the end.
From the time of our marriage, to this day, the bond has sealed tighter and tighter. God blessed us to have 3 beautiful children whom he loved dearly. He has been such a hard worker, an excellent provider to me and our children, making sure we had all the things we needed and wanted.
Ed, you've been such a wonderful Husband, Friend, Father, Granddaddy, Great-Granddaddy, Uncle ... in fact, a wonderful person to everyone you came in contact with. You were such a caring person, loving everyone and giving everyone a smile, as only you could do. You are all anyone could want. I'll miss you, but, I will see you over there!
Love, Frankie

No man is an island. Friends like you are so dear and precious. We could not ask for a better response in our time of need.
With God's guidance, we received strength to make this a joyous celebration of God's plan for our loved one's life. May God richly bless each of you and grant you peace. We love and appreciate every expression of concern and kind deed .
