Obituary
Sunrise, November 17, 1915
Sunset, January 6, 2012
In Ecclesiastes 3:1, it is so recorded, ''to everything, there is a season and a purpose to everything under the lleavens".
The time for MARY BELLE MANN to be born was November 17, 1915 in the historical Atlanta, Georgia to Clark Mann & Jennie Ann Ballard Mann.
In the Spring of her life, "Mae Belle " as she was affectionately called would attend the Atlanta Public Schools, including the renowned George Washington High School.
As her Summer evolved she would reconcile herself as a young lady, meet and marry the love ofher life, Mr. James William Hammett, Sr. and share that love for fifty-four (54) years. To this beautiful union came six little angles to share the love of two very proud parents; Michael Steven, Gregory, Rodney, James William, Jr., Anthony Jerome and Pamela Louise. The exceptionally capable housewife and mother that she was, found herself holding down a fort of her own as husband and father rendered honorable service to his country as a part of the United States Coast Guards.
In the Autumn of her life it was always a joy to be in her presence. Mae Belle was the epitome of grace, a humble Spirit, a magnetic force that drew you near and touched your heart with her beautiful soft smile, a Christian that loved the Lord and a virtuous woman.
As her Winter season brought her full circle, Mae Belle would fmd herself in the care of A G Rhodes Care Giving Facility ofAtlanta. Her medical needs required her to be transferred to Emory Crawford Long Hospital where she answered to call of God and transitioned on January 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, James William Hammett, Sr. and their two sons; Gregory and Anthony and her brother James Mann. Tender memories shall remain in the hearts of three (3) Sons; Michael (Sharon), Rodney and James Jr.; one (1) Daughter; Pamela Louise; (28) Grandchildren; (24) Great Grandchildren; one (1) Brother-in-law, Willie Love & Family.
