Marie Grogan entered this world on January 9, 1928 in Roswell, Georgia to the late Deacon A. J. and Corrie Lillie Grogan. She was the last of eighteen children.
She was a member of Zion Baptist Church where she confessed to Christ at an early age. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her hobbies were Braves baseball, wrestling, and doing puzzles.
On Monday, August 28, 2000, Marie departed to a better and more peaceful place. No longer will we have her smile in our sight, but her memories and spirit will forever be in the hearts and souls of those who loved her.
Marie Grogan leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Brenda Parker; five sons, Charles Leroy, Edward John, Walter Glenn, Larry, and Gary; two daughters-in-law; sixteen grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sister, Rachel Ranson, Chicago, Illinois; brother, John Thomas Grogan, Columbia, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
