OBITUARY
Irving (Jake) Griffirt was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Griffin Nov. 27, 1902, he departed this life M ay 21, 1974. He has been a member of Firslt Baptist since a child, hUit wasn't baptized until Rev. Pugh was pastor and has heen a member of the choir evtery since. He attended Stowe School and Sumner High. He went into the Army in 1942 .and came out with an honorable discharge. He loved his church~ and W aS! a faith'ful member.
He leaves to mourn his loss, two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wa~hington; Mrs. Lillian Burleson; 2 nephews, Verne Burleson, Karl Griffin; one niec-e, W aynell Walker; ~ieces and nephews and a host of friends.
