Mrs. Mozel Thompson Green, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Thompson and Mary Freeman Thompson was born 73 yearsago inLaGrange,TroupCounty,Georgia.
She was educated in the Gayton County Public Schools System. At a very early age she confessedChristas her personal saviorand she joinedShilohUnited MethodistChurchinLove Joy, Georgia in the year of 1977 . After moving
to Atlanta she moved her membership to Cosmopolitan AME Churchunder the pastorship of the late Rev. M. L. Hood. In the year of 1989 Mother Green
moved her membership to Turner Monnumential, AME Church under the pastorateofRev.S. W. Wickerandsheservedfaithfullythechurchsheloved so well. She was a member of Choir #2, and she worked in every facet of the church programs until ill health prevented her attendance.
Through the years she probably satisfied the appetites of nearly half of the population of the county. Friendships were even formed as a result of her delightful food preparation. She will always be remembered for her dedication to duty, her love and devotion to her family, church, community and friends.
In the year of 1935 she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. NorwoodBrown, who pass away in 1957. In the year of 1977 she was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Mr. Austell Green and shewas the mother of three (3) daughters and two (2) sons.
As a result of her Christian stewardship, to her church, family, community and friends, may she continue to live through the lives of her
survivors which includes: a devoted husband, Mr. Austell Green, three (3) daughters: Mrs. Oaudy Mae Cody, Mrs. Lizell L Presley and Mrs. Ann Wheeler, two (2) sons: Mr. Bennie L. Brown and Mr. Lonnie Carey Brown, 17GrandChildren, 23 Great Grand Children,3 GreatGreatGrand Children, three (3) sisters; Mrs. Beatrice Kilgore, Mrs. Mattie Arnold and Mrs. Eunice Curtis,four(4)brothers: Mr. GeorgeW. Thompson, Mr. BennieLThompson, Mr. William Thompson and Mr. Roosevelt Thompson, one (1) son-in-law Mr. Ralph Presley, two (2) daughter-in-laws: Mrs. Ann Brown and Mrs. Delois Brown, five (5) sister-in-laws: Mrs. Bernice Thompson, Mrs. Patricia
