Elven Green, born to Rev. Will and May Liza Green in the Arkansas city of England County Lonak, in the year of our Lord December 25th, 1910. There he attended school and he was converted in 1924 at Macedonia Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. G. C. Cherry. In 1942 he married Miss Lucy Holland to this wedlock no children were born. They later joined the Second Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Stutgard, Arkansas.
He later moved to St. Louis, Missiouri. He then united with St. James M.B. Church, pastored by Rev. Rankin. In 1964 he moved to Chicago, Illinois. He united with the Clear Lake M.B. Baptist Church at 2802 W. Chicago, where the Rev. M.W. fJackson is pastor.He was a faithful member, until his health failed. Elven loved his church and pastor.
He leaves to mourn 2 sisters Mrs. Nancy Douglas, and Mrs. Emmy Watson, of Chicago; 1 brother 0. D. Whitfield of Detroit, Michigan, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
We loved him but God loved him best.
