A Time to Be Born
Mother Charlie Mae (Jones) Green was born September 29, 1925 in Mineola, Georgia to the late Mr. Charlie Jones and Mrs. Rosie (Williams) Jones. She was the fifth child of twelve children.
A Time to Seek
She joined Mount Airy Holiness Church in Mineola, Georgia at an early age, where she worked faithfully until she married and moved to Forest Park, GAin 1947 where she joined St. Stephen Overcoming Church of God, where she was faithful until death. As a dedicated wife and mother, Mother Green raised her children in the church and . stood with her husband (Bishop Willie L. Green, Sr.) as a dedicated pastor' s wife during their pastorship in the Overcoming Church of God. Mother served as the first lady at St. James OCOG in Clarkston, GA for one year, St. Paul OCOG in Gadsden, AL. for 24 years, and at St. Stephen OCOG for 17 years where the LORD brought them back home to serve where she worked faithfully as the President of the Mother's Board. Mother Green worked faithfully in the church as a choir member, church usher, Pastor's Aid auxiliary and the Assistant General Mother of the Overcoming church of God. She was ready to do whatever was needed at the church until her illness. Mother Green was quiet and sweet, but when it was needed, she had a word from the Lord.
A Time to Work
She was employed at the State Farmer's Market and Harbins Restaurant for a number of years. Finally at Lake City School in Forest Park, GA. where she worked as a cook for many years until retirement.
A Time to Love
She met Mr. Willie L. Green at church during their teenage years. After a period of getting to know each other, their love grew and they knew God had put them together. They were joined in holy matrimony on July 5, 1942. Out of this union their love grew, and God blessed them with seven children. Mother and Bishop reared their children in the Lord. And taught them to love and care for others, as GOD loves them.

A Time to Depart

Come With Me
God saw her getting tired, A cure was not to be
He put his arms around her And whispered, "Come with Me".
With tearful hearts we watched her, As her life didfade away
Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay
A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest
God showed his love and proved to Us He only takes the BEST.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my

departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have

finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid

up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous

judge, shall give me at that day ...

II Timothy 4:6-8
