When I am gone, release me, and let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on And ifyou need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near. And ifyou listen with your heart, you'll hear, All my love arormd you soft and clear.
And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a Welcome Home'.

Elizabeth Gale Sailors Gould was born on May 30, 1945 to the late Deacon Obie Sailors, Jr. and Mrs. Jewel Carter Sailors in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the granddaughter ofthe late Reverend and Mrs. Murray C. Carter of the New Springfield Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. She was a product of the Atlanta Public Schools where she attended David T. Howard and Henry McNeil Turner High Schools. Gale was an excellent student and participated in many extra-curricular activities including the marching band at both Howard and Turner. She was friendly and outgoing which resulted in her winning "Miss Eighth Grade" and "Miss Tenth Grade" at Howard and "Miss Twelfth Grade" at Turner High School.
Upon completion of High School, Gale attended Spelman College. Her professional career began with employment at John Hancock Insurance Company where she was an outstanding employee. She worked her way up the corporate ladder holding a managerial position until her health began to fail.
She was married to the late Charles Hayes who preceded her in death. Later she united in marriage to Mr. Alan Gould. This union was blessed with one son, Terrance Gould who was the light of her life.
During her early life, Gale was affiliated with the New Springfield Baptist Church where her parents, grandparents and many family members were actively involved. Later, she joined Ben Hill United Methodist where she served for a number of years.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted mother Mrs. Jewel Carter Sailors; a loving, devoted and dutiful son, Mr. Terrance Gould; one brother, Mr. Obie Sailors, III (Jere); one sister, Ms. Linda Howard; an uncle, Mr. Lynn P. Carter (Katie); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gale was deeply loved by family, admired by friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
