Edward Gosa III, was born on August 26, 1958 in Wilmington, DE. He peacefully made is transition on November 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Jr. and Colinthia H. Go sa.
Coach Gosa, as he was affectionately called by his students, received his education in Wilmington, DE where he attended Wilmington High School. He then went on to attend University of Maryland Eastern Shore receiving a BA Degree in Social Work. While attending UMES he met and married the love of his life Deborah A .(Jenkins) Gosa and 3 children were born from this union.
Edward was a faithful member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, where he managed and organized sporting events. He was a retired educator of the Fulton County School System. He dedicated 21 years of Service at Banneker High School as head coach for the Baseball, Wrestling and Football teams. He also served as the Athletic Director and mentored students for higher education. Edward has been a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. for 36 years.
Edward leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Deborah his children, Deanna, Edward IV and Danayah Gosa. Sister, Starmayne Mackie (Henry), Twin Sister, Edwina Gosa ,of Wilmington, DE; Brother William Gosa; Granddaughter, Emani Gosa, Father and Mother in-Law, Eugene and Martha Jenkins, Sistser-in-Laws: Sabrina Everson and Cheryl (Harvey) Edwards, and a host of nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
Thank you for your endless love that will help me through each day and thank you for the memories that will never fade away. You're the man I loved and I was proud to be your wife and everyday in some way, I will celebrate your life. As long as memories last, you will stay in my heart.
I know you are listening from the heavens above there's nothing I value more than your love. No matter where I am or what I am doing, your memories will always keep me going. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure ... you will always be loved beyond measure.
