Ms. Bertha Goolsby was born September 7, 1910 in Monticello, Jasper County, Georgia from the union of the late honorable Mr. Collins and Sarah Jane Goolsby. She departed this physical life on June 18, 1994.
She enjoyed a long and happy life without any serious illness that would require hospitlization until her "homecoming." Ms. Goolsby was a faithful member of Sims Avenue Church of Christ in Atlanta, Georgia.
She leaves indelible memories to be cherished by a devoted son, Albert Eugene Goolsby; two devoted daughters, Sarah Hambrick and Rosa Monroe; a devoted stepmother, Mrs. Orrie Goolsby; a devoted brother, Mose Hunter; thirteen devoted grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
God saw the road was getting rough The hills were hard to climb.
He gently closed those loving eyes, And whispered, "Peace Be Thine."
The weary hours, the days ofpain, The sleepless nights are passed, The ever patient worn out frame Has found sweet rest at last.
