Obituary
I heard the voice ofJesus say, "Come unto me and rest; lay down, thou weary one, lay down thy head upon my breast." I came to Jesus as I was, so weary, worn and sad; I found in Him a resting place, and
He has made me glad.
Tyrone Glenn, affectionately known as 'Hazard'", was the fourth child of the late Deacon James Glenn and Deaconess Josephine Glenn. Tyrone was born on January 31, 1953 in New York City. His rich life
came to a close on Wednesday, May 2 L 2014.
He received his education in the New York City Public School system. Tyrone was an excellent basketball player and was selected to play on his high school basketball team. With his remarkable skill and plays, the name 'Hazard'' was given to him by his teammates. After graduation, Tyrone enlisted in the United State Army. After his tour of duty, he had a thirst to learn and do more. Tyrone tnoved to Atlanta, GA where he enrolled in Atlanta Area Technical School for training in heating and air conditioning. Tyrone was employed with the Fulton County school system in janitorial services for many years. The children and school were truly his love. This was ''his'' school because of his compassionate nature.
At an early age Tyrone was baptized and joined Emanuel Baptist Church, New York City. Upon the relocation of his parents to Atlanta, GA, and their joining Bethlehem Baptist Church, he also joined Bethlehem. He loved great singing and became a member of the male choir. Later he united with The True Love Christian Ministries where his love for singing lead him to join the tnale chorus at True Love. Tyrone also enjoyed getting dressed in his Sunday' s Best.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his older brother, James Edward.
He leaves to cherish his lovely memory his mother, Josephine Glenn; a son, Tyree Morman, Atlanta, GA; two sisters, JoAnn Thompson, (Tommy), Charlotte, NC and Cynthia Griffith, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Robert Glenn (Mary), Atlanta, GA and Frank Glenn, (Eva), Boston, Mass~ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
