lJ9Ieaton, Janice Yvonne Phelps, was born on September 1,
1961 to Eddie Lee Phelps and Mattie Mae Berry in Hampton, Georgia. She is the lith of twelve children. She had two sisters Brenda Sue Phelps and Henrietta "Chicken" Phelps to precede her in death Her beloved Mother-in-Law Saphronia Gleaton also preceded her in death.
She joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church during August revival in 1968; Rev. E. J. Jester was the pastor. She attended Hampton Rosenwald Elementary School until the third grade then her family moved to Ellenwood Georgia where she continued her education at East Clayton Elementary School, Morrow Jr. High School and graduated in 1979 from Morrow Senior High School. After graduation she attended Clayton Junior College which is now Clayton State University. She later began her career in Automobile Insurance, where she worked until August 2001.
In the 1984 she met her husband of23 years. They were married on August 26, 1989 and to this union one child was born Zandrea Corya Gleaton.
Janice had a true and dedicated love to herfamily and her church where she sang in the Choir, served on the Usher Board, worked with the Youth Ministry, Kitchen Ministry, Open Heart Ministry and served as the Church Secretary for many years. She also had a love for gospel music.
She leaves to cherish her memory: A loving and devoted husband who was there from the beginning to the end Norman Gleaton.
A loving daughter who was the love of her life and never left her side during her illness Zandrea Gleaton.
A precious and adorable grandson, that she thought the world ofand loved as her own, Jaxon Mathews.

A family who was loving and most supportive and was always there when she needed them.
