-OBITUARY-
Mrs. Allie Lindsey Gideon was born October 10, 1894
to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Lindsey in Pike County
Georgia. She was married to Mr. Henry Burson in Pike County,
after which they moved to Atlanta, Georgia and she united with the Central Methodist Church \vhere she served faithfully for many years. Later she joined the Rice Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Gideon was employed by the Pilgrim Health and Life Insurance Company for thirty-five years until her
retirement in 1957.
In July, 1951 she was married to the late Rev. G. W.
Gideon and they lived happily together until his death.
During her years of good he~th Mrs. Gideon, was a member of many organizations and civic groups and she very active in various Christian organizations.
She r etired f rom this life on April 12, 1970 into
a better world. Two nieces, three nephews, and a host of other r elatives and friends vall long mourn her passing.
Let us not think of our departed dead As caught and cumbered in these graves of earth But think of death as of another birth, As a new freedom for the wings outspread, A new adventure waiting on ahead As a new joy of more etheral mirth, As a new world with friends of nobler worth, Where all may tastE a more immortal bread-
