The Reverend Mr. Hilliard M. Lee, Jr., Deacon
Daddy,
You have shared your wisdo1n with 1ne and guided 1ne through life. You have shielded me
from the ugliness of the world. Many of your 'words of wisdo1n' I did not understand until Wednesday, October 27, 1999. My planned road ahead has now tal?-en a detour. With the
strength, courage and independence you have instilled in 1ne, I will get back to rny planned
path. I will continue to make you proud. Daddy, s1nile upon 1ne daily and give me strength. During my life, you have been 1ny confidant, executive, role 1nodel, disciplinarian, best friend
and now 1ny guardian angel. I love you and will 1niss you dearly.
Always yours,
Ki1n
In the mist of teary eyes, I s1nile at the thoughts ofyour caring ways. Dad, all my life you have been the support that 1nade me whole. My first fall, you caught 1ne. My first tear, you wiped. My first born, you e1nbraced like a pearl within an oyster. Now, I sit back and wonder what will I do without you? How will I go on? I then decided to pray and ask God to give 1ne strength and understanding. Why my Dad? So young... so full of life ... so soon. Well, I began to understand that we are all God's children no 1natter what color, creed, age, or denontination. God has promised us eternal life in a better place, one that we can't even i1nagine while in human form. I also know that you live on in spirit and will always watch over 1ne. You have not died but graduated to eternal bliss; where you will live forever. Kennedi has started asking question/s about where her Paw-Paw is. She's too young to understand, but she feels your presence within her heart. Mother is being strong and standing tall. She's ready to be the second leg on your relay tea1n, and carry the baton in this race we call life. As you sit on your panel of angels', no need to worry. You pretty 1nuch wrote the preface, now we will live out the rest of the story.
I love you always,
Kiesha
Daddy, Now that you are gone my world has changed. I have graduated from the role of baby girl
to an adult in just a few hours. You have been my lighthouse and anchor. Through all my mistakes and 'different' choices, you found a positive point in everything I did. You never turned your back on me and kept your arms around me. I know that you are gone now, but I can close my eyes and see you.
I will always lo ve you, . Kai
