Burnette Geddis (Peewee) was born February 6, 1957 to the late Essie and Burrus Geddis in Richland, Georgia. Burnette moved with her mother, father, and sister to Chamblee, Georgia in 1958.
At the age of thirteen she became a member of Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Church where she remained a member until her passing.
Her true loves were her family, friends, writing, poetry, singing, music and her pet companion, Pearl.
She made her transition from earth to heaven on Sunday, May 11, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends.
She leaves to treasure her memory: sister, Jill Ebbs of Chamblee, Georgia; nephew, Eric Pledger of Tampa, Florida; niece, Carli Ebbs of Roswell, Georgia; nephew, Kyle Ebbs of Chamblee, Georgia; a faithful friend, Gary Barnett of Chamblee, Georgia; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
"But my power within comesfrom God. He helps to make me strong.
He encourages me to open my heart and he shows me rightfrom wrong. And although the darkness surrounds my world,
I see much more than most, for I've become acquainted with God the Father and the Ho!J Ghost".
