Celebration of Life for Angela Gayle Gammage, November 27, 1951- May 10, 2017, Saturday, may 20, 2017, 12:00 Noon, Gus Thornhill's Chapel, 1315 Gus Thornhill, Jr. Drive, East Point, Georgia 30344, Reverend Dr. Robert Melson, Sr., Eulogist, Officiating

Don't cry for me now I have died, for I'm still here I'm by your side, My body's gone but my soul's is here, please don't shed another tear,
I am still here I'm all around, only my body lies in the ground. I am the snowflake that kisses your nose, I am the frost, that nips your toes. I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright. I am the rain, refreshing the earth, I am the laughter, I am the mirth. I am the bird, up in the sky, I am the cloud, that's drifting by. I am the thoughts, inside your head, While I'm still there, I can't be dead.

Life's beginning and ending.... Born to the late Moses and Robbie Gammage on November 27, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia. On May 10, 2017, she transitioned, out of this world of sorrow, sickness and pain into a world of perfect peace, rest and relaxation.
Life' s Journey and Achievements .. . Angela began her scholastic endeavors at the tender age of five when she attended Rosalie Wright Elementary school. She later went on to high school and graduated from Henry McNeal Turner High in 1969. During this time, she both worked/volunteered with Dr. Horace Tate in his run for local office which began her interest in helping people and cultivating change. Angela made the bold choice to venture away from home and began her college career at
Erskine College in Due West, SC. After a brief time there, it was then she realized that she could complete her studies closer to home and still be around the people that mattered most to her--her family .
With the initial joys she gained from helping people to create change, it's no wonder why Angela decide to further her education in the field of Psychology where she later received a Bachelors of Science Degree in that very subject from Georgia State University in 1977.
Life's Joys .. ..Angela was baptized at Liberty Baptist Church, in Atlanta, GA at an early age. As a faithful choir member, she often sang solos in the young adult choir and made it known that her favorite solo was "I Waited on the Lord".
An avid reader, she could be seen reading various books/magazines and could recount the best details of everything she read.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved attending the family reunions. Angela also loved taking strolls through her neighborhood and reliving the memories from her youth .
She leaves to cherish her memories ... ..Her loving sister, Sonja A. Gammage; two brothers, Moses (Rebecca) Gammage, Quentin K. Gammage, all of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, Daria and Robyn Redding of Oak Lawn, IL, and Cicely Redding of Atlanta, GA; two great nieces, Cayden and Dallas Henry of Atlanta, GA; and three great nephews, Noah Henry of Atlanta, GA and Kendall and Kentrell Davis of Oak Lawn, IL. In addition, a host of devoted friends and extended family including uncles, aunts, cousins, as well as other relatives.
