Mrs. Emma L. Foster was born July 17, 1918 in Stockbridge, Georgia to the Late John and Lillian White.
She met and married the late Elder Bennie C. Foster and they were married for 44 years. From this union they were blessed with twins. Emma was the First Lady of House of Prayer Baptist Church founded by her late husband. While at House of Prayer, she performed various duties during her 40 years of service.
As age played a factor, she agreed to move intoArborwood Place (Assisted Living Facility). Later, she resided with her daughter, Mildred, who cared for her until her untimely death.
Her memory will always be cherished by her children, Marvin and Mildred; three grandchildren, Savion, Arielle, and Semira; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and devoted friends.
To Those Whom I Love and Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with too many tears. But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess, How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love you have shown, But now it's time I travel alone.
So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It is only for awhile that we must part, So treasure the memories with your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near, And if you listen with your heart, you 'II hear, All my love around you soft and clear, And then, when you come this way alone,
I will greet you with a smile and a WELCOME HOME.
