OBITUARY
Mrs. Callie Olyra Ford was born in Rome, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas. She departed this life, March 4, 1982.
She attended school in Rome and was a graduate of Morris Brown College. She received her master's degree from the Atlanta University. She taught school in Wilkinson and Bibb Counties before retiring last year. She was a member of the Chatauqua Civic and Social Club and was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she sang in the gospel choir and was a member of the Friendship Club.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Ford of Macon; a son, Charles Jonathan Ford of Macon; a daughter, Mrs. Danita Ford Runnels of Macon; a step-son, Theodore Bowman of Atlanta; a brother, Dr. John Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee; four sisters, Mrs. Delores Thornton, Mrs. Sarah Hixon, Mrs. Lila Thomas and Mrs. Edith Lyons all of Rome; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews .
