OBITUARY
Deacon J. C. Fitzpatrick was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Bennie Lee Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Susie Moore Fitzpatrick on October 14, 1909 in Twiggs County, Georgia. Mr. Fitzpatrick attended the public schools of Twiggs County. He departed this life on Thursday, April 22, 1999 after an extended illness.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Essie D. Tharpe Fitzpatrick in October, 1936. He was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church where he was sunday school superintendent for fifty-six years, assistant chairman of the deacon board for thirty-eight years, chairman of the building union for forty years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving aunt, Mrs. Bessie Parker of Dry Branch, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annie Mae Cabiness of Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Cellia Mae Tharpe of Dry Branch, Georgia; a devoted and dedicated cousin, Mr. Bennie Lee Calhoun of Macon, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
