OBITUARY
God, with hi s divine gTace, and in His inJinite wisdmn, blessed His hun1ble servant, Edward Fenner, Jr. , A.K.A., "'T'he Music Man," with the gift of song. Eddie's passion for the Lord was visibly and audibly den1onstrated through his passion for 1nusic. Eddie blessed so n1any, so olten, with his anointed renderings of the Lord's n1usic. It didn't tnatter whether Eddie was a soloist, a choir n1e1nber, or whether he sang gospel, both traditional and conten1porary; the result would be the sa.tne; spirited ~u1d spirit-Jilled. Eddie knew how to n1inister to a congTegation because he was n1oved by the Holy Spirit. He served as a good and faithful se rv~mt through his service as a n1e1nber of the Majestic Choir and the Mass Male Chorus, at his beloved Ben Hill United l\1ethodist Church.
So today, we pause to honor the life and celebrate the hon1e going of Edward (Eddie) Fenner, Jr. who was bon1 on Septen1ber 25, 1954 in Fayette County, Connersville, Pennsylva.t1ia. Upon his tnove to Atla.t1ta, he joined Ben Hilll nited l\1ethodist Church on l\1~u-ch 30, 1986, under the leadership of the late Bishop Cornelius L. l-Ienderson.
He was educated in the Brownsville, Pennsylvania school district, and in 1971 he gTadualed fro1n Brownsville Area High School. He also attended Fayette County Vocational School.
Being a lover of cars, Eddie held the position of Service Advisor at several con1panies in the n1etro-Atlanta area. His last en1ployn1ent was with the Eagle Group, where he served as a Warehouse Specialist.
Eddie leaves a legacy of love to his devoted wife of 12 years, Mrs. T'hea Alexander- Fenner; his loving n1other, Beulah T'insley Mack; his caring Inother-in-law, Bettye Clark; daughter, Chanel Fenner (Shawn Douglas); two sons, Edward Fenner, III (Rita), Calvin Fenner; two step-sons, Terry Waller, Jr., Torry Waller; one step-daughter, Thea A. To Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears. Be thankful for our many beautiful years. I gave you my love - you can only guess.
How much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown
But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a time that we must part. So bless the memories with your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you will hear, All of my love around you, soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say" '"'elcome Home."
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We walk by a firmer faith because our family and friends have reached out to us in love and caring. Thank you for your visits, telephone calls, prayers, and many other forms of courtesies. We shall always cherish each of you.
