THE BftOKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

HOMEGOING SERVI
for

A TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE AND TIMES OF
BRADY FEARS, JR.
Brady Fears, Jr. was born to Brady Fears, Sr. and Harvis Cooper on December 17, 1949 in Opelika, Alabama and departed thls life on July 18, 2017 in Lithonia, GA. At an early age, after hls mother's death, he was reared in East Point, GA with hls mother's sister, Lottie Harris and her husband the late Jessie Harris.
He was educated in the Fulton County School District and graduated from South Fulton High School in 1968 where he participated in numerous sports.
Brady entered and served in the army during the Vietnam War. Despite the challenges he faced as a result he was always proud of the fact that he served his country. His saying for this time of his life was "To live is to suffer, but to survive is to find meaning in that suffering" .
Brady joined and was baptized at Berean Christian Church in 1999, where he was a faithful member and was part of the Transportation Ministry until his health declined.
He was employed in a variety of jobs including Delta Airlines, American Can Company, Presto Lite and as a taxi driver.
Brady was a kind and warmhearted person to whom people were automatically drawn. He was best known for two things. He was a sports fanatic. He loved sitting back in hls recliner watching any form of sports that was on TV at the time, but especially his Falcons, Hawks and Braves. The other is that Brady was known for always being jovial and comical. He was the life of the party no matter where he went and what he did. He had a quick wit. Some of his favorite "Brady-isms " include: "a mouth don't care what comes out of it", and "a lie don't care who tells if' . Everyone agreed that Brady missed his calling to be a comedian. His response was "they put me on stage, I gotta perform".
Brady married Sharon Weeks on November 1, 2002. They settled in Lithonia, Georgia. Their home was opened to family and friends for entertaining and fun. Brady was a father of four adult children. However, the nest was never empty at the Fear's home. You would always find one child or another there. Due to hls generosity toward the children that surrounded him, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Brady".
Brady was preceded in death by his sister Annie Muriel Johnson, his brother Alvin Baldwin and his Uncle Tessie Harris.
Brady leaves to mourn, his wife Sharon Weeks Fears of Lithonia, GA, his son Ohaji Fears (Tarsha) Stockbridge, GA his son Brady Fears, III (Kendra) of College Park, GA, his daughter Crystal Fears-Barron (Kevin) Forrest Park, GA, and an adopted daughter Jeanette Mitchell of Forrest Park, his Aunt who raised him Lottie Harris of Conley, GA, his cousin/ sister Angela Johnson (Susie), of Ellenwood, GA, his step mother Ella Fears of Salem, AL, his sisters Patricia Fears and Virginia Fears both of Salem, AL, and his eight grandchildren, Jocquez, Skylar, Josiah, Brandy, Taniyah, Isaiah, Rachel & Kimberly. Brady will be sorrowfully missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
