On Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 2:18 pm, God sent His angels down from heaven and whispered words of peace in the ear of Shelia Beech Epps. She passed away at Wellstar Douglas Hospital after a long and courageous struggle with Sarcoidosis.
She was born on October 27, 1959, the second of four children born to the union of the late Eddie Beech and Wylene Beech. She was truly a "Georgia Peach" born in Hamilton, Georgia and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a woman of great faith who witnessed her faith in God on a daily basis.
Shelia was united in holy matrimony with Alfred Lewis Epps on August 7, 1996. She worked as a claims auditor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for many years and retired due to disability in 2002. In her leisure, she enjoyed reading and playing games on the computer. She was truly blessed and was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She lived her life with a smile on her face and love in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her father: Eddie Robert Beech. She leaves to cherish her loving memory a devoted husband, Alfred Lewis Epps; two sons, Charles Bernard Nathaniel (DeSha Sweat) of Lexington, KY and Maurice Nathaniel of Douglasville, GA; one daughter, Lakita Epps of Douglasville, GA; two granddaughters, who held a very special place in her heart, Kaleeyah Wilcox and D' Asia Sweat-Nathaniel; her loving mother, Wylene Beech of Powder Springs, GA; two brothers, Kerry Beech of Mableton, GA and Derrick Beech (Bettina) of Nashville, TN; a very special sister, Mia Beech Epps (Benjamin) of Powder Springs, GA; and her best friend, Joanna Watts. She is also survived, cherished and loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you and whispered, ((Come to Me "
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
With Love, Your Family
