Samuel Epps, Jr. was born June 30, 1952 to Samuel and Elizabeth Epps in Talbot County, Georgia. His voice was silenced, as he entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.
He accepted Christ at an early age, and united with the Powell Missionary Baptist Church, in Talbotton, GA.
In 1970, Samuel graduated from Ruth Carter High School, Talbotton Georgia, and shortly thereafter, he moved to Atlanta, GA to work and live until his untimely death.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ezzard Charles and sister-in-law, Shelia Beech Epps.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife and children, Warkenia Epps, Tonika (Kinte) Kemp and Norvorris Epps, and grandchildren, Taylor, Drea, and Janyla, all of Atlanta, GA; his parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Epps, Talbotton, aunts and uncles, Margie Horton, Lovie Cook, Lizzie Carter, Navie Epps, all of Talbotton, GA; Virginia (Walter) Marshall, Wilbert Marshall, Ellerslie, GA, Jennie Lou Epps, Atlanta, GA, and Willie M. Epps, Chicago, IL; brothers, Calvin (Cynthia) Epps, Talbotton , Alfred Epps, Orlando (Avetta) Epps, Bonanza Epps, Douglasville, Benjamin (Mia) Epps, Powder Springs; nieces and nephews, Jarrett, Bria, Cedric, Justen, Cavana, Brandon, Morgan, Charles, Maurice, Lakita, Khaleil, Marcell, D' Asia and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
