Rodothus "Rudy" Ellison was born on June 5, 1943 in Manchester, Georgia to the late Willie Frank Ellison and Charlie Mae Terry Ellison. He transitioned into eternal life on November 25, 2012.
"Rudy" as he was affectionately known, was raised as a God-fearing man. He moved to Atlanta from Manchester at a young age. After several years of dedicated work, he retired from DeKalb County Parks and Recreations.
Rudy was united in marriage to the late Trellis Beatrice Collins on December 23, 1962. God blessed this union with twelve beautiful children.
Additional to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie Joe, Bobby Glenn, and Henry Jack Ellison.
Rudy leaves to cherish his memories: ten sons, Mark (Doris), Darrell (Holly), Treavor (Hot Rod), Brandon (Claudia), Doremus (Lesa), Wesley (Kamara), Phillip (Ayasha), Eldrin (Racinta), Ricardo (Ashley), and Richie (Melody) Ellison; two daughters, Cynthia Miller and Audrey Canton; four sisters, Jennie Mitchell, Mary (Edward) Watson, Geraldine (Dewey) Branford, and Betty Ferguson; , three brothers, Willie James (Willie), Reverend Johnny Frank (Doreathea), and Carlton Ellison; three aunts, Zula Brown, Doris Copeland, and Martha Bryant; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, countless family and friends who will truly miss him and who loved him very much.
