OBITUARY
Jesus invited Darius Nathan Edwards to his home on Tuesday June 24, 2014. Darius was born in Atlanta, Ga. on June 17, 1996.
Darius lived in Syracuse New York for many years before moving back to Atlanta. While in Syracuse, he attended the Salvation Army New Life Church where he gave his life to Christ and became a Junior Soldier. Darius was a prayerful little boy. He often prayed under his special tree. Darius was kind and made many friends. He was intelligent and an inquisitive young man who enjoyed astronomy, nature and was a lover of animals, especially dogs. Darius attended South Atlanta and Crim High Schools. His dream was to become a Veterinarian. He also loved to draw various art designs. Darius loved his family and loved being a big brother to his two first cousins Elijah and Ethan Royal.
Darius is survived by his parents Mary E. Wilburn and Derrick Edwards, of Atlanta, Ga; his loving Grandmother, Marilyn Wilburn (Granny), Atlanta, Ga; his uncle Nathan L Royal, (Veronica) Atlanta, Ga; His Godmother Robyn Everett, Lithonia, Ga. Brothers and sisters: Shaniqua and Marcus, Pompano Beach Fl; Kain and Sierra, Huntsville, AI; and Nayla and Shayla, Decatur, Ga. Darius is also survived by a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends, especially Destiny Weems.
Darius is preceded in death by his twin brothers Daquan and Dian Edwards.

HIS STORY

"GOD TOOKDARIUSHOME"
When your time comes, the long sleep begins. Your life here is at an end and your new one begins. "GOD" said to Darius, I know you are afraid my child, but you don't have to be, I am right here with thee. Your pain is gone, and you will suffer no more. So GOD put his hand on Darius face, his face was aglow and peace came over him, it was time to go. He is in his new home, GOD'S Heavenly Place!
A "Little Angel" took Darius aside and said someone special has been waiting for you, follow me to the Heavenly Path. At the end of the path, the Angel said now you must go alone. As Darius walked the Heavenly path, someone called his name... Darius it's me, your cousin Shedell and they were hugging and laughing. Shedell said Darius look over at the Heavenly tree, and tell me what you see! Darius said, I see... my two brothers Daquan and Dian, and my Great Grandparents, I see my uncles, aunts, and cousins! Everyone surrounded Darius and said to him, we are all so glad you are here. Have no fears! Put a smile on your face, for you have made it to GOD'S Heavenly Place!!!!
