The Reverend Spencer Lamar Booker, Pastor Eulogist
hituaru
On May 27, 1924 Nellie Ruth Turner (Eason) was born to the late Arthur and Ada Boyd Turner in Hampton, Georgia.
She attended school in Henry County where she loved to hear good "Note Singing".
In 1948, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Lucius R. Eason. Following her husband, she became a member of Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church where she enjoyed and faithfully served on the Usher Board for numerous years until her health prevented her from serving.
Her experience as a cafeteria cook lead to her becoming a member of the team who initiated the "In Church" homecoming meals. She became noted for her sweet potato pie and chicken dressing.
She loved and enjoyed it when she was called upon during various programs to recite from her collection of poems.
She leaves to mourn: five daughters, Jeanette Turner, Nokomis Perry, Gaynell Evans (Gregory), Wanda Braithwaite (Milton), and Olga Mangum; two sisters, Fannie Lou Turner and Jessie Mae Pittman; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
"God's Greatest Plan" She was so special and dear
To so many here Oh how we cherished our Time with her here below But for each there will come a time to go Dismayed we were when angels Above took our beloved In God's plan there is no sickness or pain Just all of God's riches to gain Just remember nothing is greater Then to spend eternity with our creator For that is God's Greatest Plan
