The Obituary Reflections ofA Life Well-Lived
./Intionette "Cookie" Swint Duru was born January o6, 1944 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Frank and Lucille L. Hall Swint. At an early age, Antionette joined Flagg Chapel Baptist Church; where in later years, she served on the Usher Board.
Antionette received her education at J. F. Boddie High School. She was a proud member the Boddie High Ratters' Marching Band and the girl's basketball team.
Antionette's career at Central State Hospital spanned for over thirtyyears ofdedicated service.
Our beloved "Cookie" became the bride of Bennett C. Durn. Not only was he her beloved husband but also her verybest friend.
Antionette enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Among herfavorite past times were playing cards and doing word search puzzles. She was a. faithful member of the Lou Walker Senior Center.
On Sunday, January 3, 2016, Antionette "Cookie" Durn heard the voices of her mother, father, and well-loved brother, Frank Melvin Swint who welcomed her home to eternal life.
Our beloved "Cookie's" memorywill cling to the hearts and minds of those who loved her. Survivors include her beloved husband for over thirty-five years, Bennett C. Duru of Lithonia, GA; daughter, Regina Scott of Stone Mountain, GA; step-children, Jared Duru ( Toni) of Idaho and Brittney Durn of Florida; grandson, Matthew Williams ofLithonia, GA; sisters, Viola Davis ofCleveland, OH, Frances Lattimore (Walter), Jacquelyn Reeves (Milton), Cynthia Swint (Robert), Gertrude Knox (Bobby), Mary Rolston, Betty-Bell Jones, Vange Butts, and Carolyn Lee, all of Milledgeville, GA; two brothers-in-law, Enrico Durn (Florence) ofTexas and Godfrey Duru (Teran) ofMissouri.
Other whom shall mourn her passing include her aunts, Cora West, Frances Gibson, Anita Finney and Mary Hooks, all of Milledgeville, GA; nieces include, Connie Davis, Bernadette Williams (Walter), Angela Adside (Edrick), Melissa Swint (Randy), all of Milledgeville, GA, Teresa Zachary (Booker T.) of Eatonton, GA, Michelle Smith of Stockbridge, GA, Tiffany Swint, Jalessia Swint, and Melanie Swint, all of Milledgeville, GA; one nephew, Sean Lattimore ofAtlanta, GA; cousins; great nieces and great nephews; and, a host of friends.
