SERVANT OF GOD WELL DONE Servant ofGod, well done; Restfrom thy loved employ; The battle fought; the victory won, Enter thy Master's joy
The voice at midnight came; She started up to hear; A mortal arrow pierced herframe; She fell, but no fear.
The pains ofdeath are past, Labor and sorrow cease; And life's long warfare closed at last Her soul is found in peace
Soldier ofChrist, well done; Praise be thy new employ; And while eternal ages run, Rest in thy saviour's joy.

Obituary
Known to all as Johnny, Otha Johnny Downer was born May 5, 1935 in Lagrange, Georgia, Troup County to Shelly Dowell and Otha Downer.
At an early age, Johnny joined Burks Chapel Methodist Church. After moving to East Point, Georgia to live with her Aunt Lena Davis, she united with Siloam Baptist Church and attended regularly until the church relocated to College Park, Georgia. Being too far for her to attend she walked up the street and united with New Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev. Spencer Booker. It was at New Grant Chapel that Johnny served faithfully until she was summoned to her eternal home.
Johnny disarmed all she met with her angelic smile and robust laughter; you would have no choice but to love her. Johnny loved her church and Sunday school. She would walk to church always wanted to be the first to walk in the church on Sunday morning.
Johnny was a faithful member of the Challenger Club, which she dearly loved and never missed a single meeting.
Johnny was preceded in death by her mother and father. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted caretakers, Mr. Charles Barlow, June Barlow Callaway and many cousins and friends including, Stephanie and Melanie Maddox who loved her dearly.
