Carrie Mytries Dennard was born on November 6, 1926 in Merriwether County, Georgia to the late Mr. Alexander Little and the late Mrs. Lillie Bell Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mr. John C. Dennard; sister, Ms. Effie Germany; and brothers, Mr. Oscar Lee Germany and Mr. Willie George Germany. She returned home to be with our heavenly
r on April 5, 2009.
Carrie joined Ladd Street Baptist Church in her early years. She continued her worship at Christian Ministry in Forest Park, Georgia under the leadership of Bishop Willie Little. She was active in the mother and usher Boards. If you knew her you knew that she had a heart of gold and would help anyone around her who was in need.
After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, Carrie married Mr. John Dennard and to this union one daughter, Stephanie Dennard Houston was born.
Carrie worked for the Hilton an'll Ramada Inn hotels in Atlanta. She was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves an_(l after her retirement, she spent a lot o[time watching their baseball games.
Carrie leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Mrs. Stephanie (Henry) Houston ofAtlanta, Georgia; stepchildren, Mr. Richard (Lillie) Dennard and Ms. Patricia Young, both
Georgia; grandchildren, Mr. Mario Houston, Mrs. enrika (Demetris) Houston, and Ms. Keynikka Houston, all tlanta, Georgia; eleven st :p grandchildren; twenty-seven step great-grandchildren, all of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law, rs. Ruth Dennard of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. Mary Williams of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; brother-in-law, Mr. James M. Dennard of Portsmouth, Virginia; niece, Ms. Evelyn Hill McCloud of Texas; great niece, Ms. Dalphine Prather Binns Atlanta, Georgia; great nephews, Mr. Rudon Prather, Mr. Steve Jones, Mr. Jeffrey Jones, and Mr. Anthony Jones, all of Atlanta, Georgia; a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
