Memories of Willie S. Dean will always be characterized by a warmth and vitality that are testaments to his love of life. As Sam, Sammy or Uncle Sam, those that knew and loved him witnessed his wit, wisdom, talent and resourcefulness. The hallmark of his time on earth was his overwhelming generosity. He gave of time, experience and material resources to friends and strangers alike. His life and passing are reminders that responsible giving must outweigh our expectations of what we should get from the world.
"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required; and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."
JLuke 12:48 (African Heritage Study Bible)
Uncle Sam gave just as much as he got! Our lives are made richer for knowing him.
