((For whether we live, we live unto the Lord And whether we die, we die unto the Lord; Whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's."
Lonnie C. Davis was born on July 29, 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lonnie Clayton, Sr. and Geneva A. Davis.
Lonnie attended and graduated from Samuel Howard Archer High School in 1978. He was employed at Reuben's Deli for many years in downtown Atlanta. He was a member of Smyrna "Word of Life" Baptist Church. Lonnie was known to be the quiet person on the scene, but once he felt comfortable you would get laughter, jokes, and challenges whether it was playing cards or dancing. He captured the hearts of many.
The Lord called Lonnie home on August 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Alexander and his brother, Joseph Davis. Surviving his departure with cherished memories are his loving fiancee , Deborah Rucker, Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Janie Alexander, Baltimore, Maryland, Betty Davis , Barbara Arnold , Gloria Justice, and Brenda Davis, all of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Arthur Lee Davis and Richard Davis, both of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, grandchildren , cousins , other relatives, and friends.
