A MOMENT OF REFLECTION FOR MRS. ANNIE BELL DAVffi
Tues., May 12, 1987- 1:00 P.M. Neriah Baptist Church 2967 Holcomb Court East Point, Georgia Rev. R.N. Martin, Pastor

REFLECTIONS
Just at the turn of the century in 1901 Mrs. Carrie Harper celebrated the birth of her third daughter in a small Georgia hamlet of Hancock County called Sparta. Annie Bell was the last of three girls born to Mrs. Harper in Hancock County in the fall of the year, in fact, it was August 15, 1901. Bell as she was fondly called brough much fun and activity to tha Harper home as she and her two flisters, Nannie Lee and Maggie, grew up and attended the public schools of Hancock County. Bell was always inquisitive and eager to learn. Her family and friends will remember her as being very active and always keeping herself involved in either church affairs or civic duties. When she moved to East Point, Ga. with her young husband, Mr. Elie Turner, they immediately united with the Siloam Baptist church. Many fireside chats have been made warmer with Bell's recollection of her days on the ursher board, in the choir, and the Rose of Sharon Club. Bell continued working diligently in the church following the death of Brother Turner and it was there she met and married Rev. S. M. Davie. She and Rev. Davie went to serve at the Neriah Baptist Church of East Point and Bell remained an active member until her demise. During her final days of physical existence on this earth she reflected often upon her family, her friends, her relatives, her church, and her own life. When her life ended at Georgia Baptist !1ospital on May 8, 1987 she left a legacy end memory that all of her constituents can reflect upon with pride and dignity. Bell's assention is mourned by many including her husband Rev. S. M. Davie and the Davie Sons and Daughtars; hn nieces and nephews, Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Reese, Sammie, Gerald and Ger.ard Reese and Sandra Kinsey. And Step grand children and great grand dilldren.
