Officiating
We celebrate the life of Deacon Emory E. Darden born August 12, 1922 in Clayton County, Georgia to the late Jessie and Nellie Darden.
Deacon Emory Darden loved the Lord and joined Neriah Baptist Church at an early age. He worked faithfully until his eyesight failed.
Deacon Emory Darden and Sister Elizabeth Morgan entered holy matrimony in 1941. This union was blessed with five children, Emory, Jr., Brenda Joyce, Gregory, Karen and Wanda Gail Darden.
Deacon Emory Darden served in the United States Army for two years. He retired after thirty-five dedicated years with Sykes Transfer Company.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife of sixtyfive years; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sisters, one sister-in-law, four brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not on
your understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will
direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Sweet Rest At Last
God saw the road was getting rough The hills were hard to climb
He gently closed his loving eyes. And whispered, "Peace Be Thine" The weary hours the days ofpain.
The sleepless nights are passed The ever patient worn-out frame Has found Sweet Rest At Last.
