Dr. Denzil Holness, Pastor Officiating
Noel Crummie was born to Thomas and Wilhelmina Crummie on May 23, 1956 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He was educated in Newcastle Primary School.
At age sixteen, he traveled to the Unites States of America, at age nineteen, upon his return to Jamaica, he opened a grocery store in Kingston, Jamaica. His business was very successful.
Although he was well beloved by everyone in the community; they all called him FOREIGNER because of his fluency in Spanish which he learned in Puerto Rico they all said he was not a Jamaican.
At age twenty-three he returned to the United States of America and settled in Bridgeport, Connecticut. There he opened the first Jamaican Grocery Store; once again he was still well loved by the community; a cheerful and honest business man, always a people person. After ten years in Connecticut, he came to Georgia where he opened several restaurants-the first one, Tropical Restaurant on Old National Highway in College Park, Georgia.
He leaves to mourn: his beloved sisters, Louise and Felicia; his brothers, Vernon, Joscelyn and Cill (in England); children, Fernando, Bridgett, Omar and Selena; best friend, Irish Harbin; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
- To brother Noel, you may be gone but not forgotten. Thanks for paving the ways for us.
God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be
so He put His arms around Him and whispered, "Come with me. " With tear-filled eyes we watched
Him gasp and fade away. Although we loved him deeply. We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating. Hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.
