he wa born in ewvill AL, the only child of Johnnie Mae and Paul Ander on. During her childhood, her family moved to Oklahoma where he enrolled in grade chool. They later moved to Siou..-x. City Iowa, where she gTaduated with honors from Central High chool. While at Central, sh was a cheerleader and a m mber of the Centralett drill team.
She later attended Howard University in Wa hington, DC, and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sororit:) , a Bison cheerleader and a member of Angel Flight an auxiliary to R.0 .T.C. She graduated with a degree in Economics.
Her career included employment at the .S. Department of Commerce and at several major department tores where h e wa an int mational and dome tic buyer and manger. Her most recent employment was in retail management with the Kroger Company.
At an early age he wa Baptized into the frican Methodi t Epi copal Faith and played the organ and piano for Sunday School and Church services. She remained of this faith throughout her life. H r most r cent membership wa with Dupage A.M.E Church in Wheaton, IL.
She worked in and traveled to variou citi aero the U. . including Minneapolis, Hawaii California, Chicago and finally Atlanta. While living in these citie she acquired many friend who will ch ri h h r memory and mourn h r pa ing.
