Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, Thomas Craig, Jr., was born on September 9, 1942 in Meridian, Mississippi, the son of Thomas Craig, Sr. and Bessie Lee Walker. Thomas Jr. was the beloved father of two sons and four daughters.
He graduated from Flint Northern High School, class of 1961 where he was a scholarshipwinning wrestler and is listed in Northern High School's Hall of Fame. He was employed with General Motors until 1972. He then moved to Atlanta where he was employed with the City of Atlanta, Water Works Division until 1998, when he retired. Thomas Jr. is known for his sharp style of dress, his like for sleek, clean, waxed cars and his love for photography at family functions.
Thomas Jr. was preceded in death by this first wife, Willie Mae Marshall Craig. He leaves to cherish his memories, his current wife, Shatese Parrish; two sons, Thomas Darryl Craig of Decatur, GA and Anthony Duane Craig of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Lisa Montise Craig of Flint, Ml; Tracy Lynette Craig and Elizabeth Craig of Decatur, GA; and Monica Lynn Napoleon of Ewa Beach, HI; one step-daughter, Tayanda (Fred) Stovall of Covington, GA; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene (Delia) Craig of Tulson, AZ and Alvin Craig of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Vivian Jackson of Baltimore, MD; four aunts, Ida Durham of Meridian, MS, Dorothy Evans, Jerusha Walker and Johnnie Louise Peters of Newton, MS; mother-inlaw, Annette (Douglas) Stancil of Covington, GA; father-in-law, Sandy (Joellene) Parrish of Durham, NC; sisters-in-laws, Lynette Strickland of Woodridge, VA; Cathy (Anthony) Alston of Durham, NC; Vickie (Greg) Caudle of Raleigh, NC; Yvonne Stancil of Lithonia, GA; and Lacretia (Chris) Blankey of Covington, GA; three brothers-in-laws, Sandy Parrish Jr. of Decatur, GA; Curtis (Sonya) Stancil of Richmond, VA; and Stanley Byrsell of Orlando, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
