APPRECIATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

OBITUARY
Garey Glenn Cooper was born May 26, 1942 in Bibb County, Georgia the second of five children born to the parentage ofthe late, Curtis LaGoode Cooper, Jr., and Vivian Ware Cooper.
He attended Green Street Elementary School, Peter G. Appling High School, and Fort Valley State College, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. Garey was a devoted member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. As a lover of sacred music, he was pianist/organist for Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church, and the Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church.
. He was an educator in the Bibb County School System for over forty years, where he taught French and Spanish at Peter G. Appling and Southwest High Schools. He always set high standards and earned the respect of students and staff.
He is survived by two brothers, Curtis L. (Bettye) Cooper, III of Macon and William N. (Velma) Cooper of Atlanta; two sisters, Sandra C. Moffitt of Atlanta and Vivian Cooper (Joseph) Holmes of Macon; and a host of relatives and friends.
To his family, students, and friends, Garey was loyal, very thoughtful, and a Good Samaritan who always tried to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished him.
