Obituary
LaRuth Collins was born to the late Charlie and Ludell Latimore on August 19, 1925. She married the late Elder Willie Lee Collins, Sr. on June 10, 1940. They became proud parents of eight children.
LaRuth was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. She accepted Christ at an early age. She loved the Lord and instilled that in her children. She was a homemaker who was blessed to stay home and raise her children. She loved cooking and preparing to receive guests, as well as, her family. She was a very strong woman that knew the importance of family. Family was everything to her. When you were around her and her family, you could feel the love and unity.
Mrs. Collins was called home on March 5, 2004 after battling with multiple strokes and heart failure. She will be truly missed but will live on in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Willie Ruth Banks and one son, James Collins. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Dianne Williams, Peggy Bush, and Estell Williams; sons, Tom Collins, Ronnie Collins, and Willie Lee Collins, Jr.; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three greatgrandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sisters-inlaw, Bessie Barlow, Doris Latimore, Bertha Collins, and Roberta Norrington; sons-in-law, Richard Williams and Clarence Williams; daughters-in-law, Hattie Collins and Glenda Akinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
