Josep/i 9vtarion Coffins, also affectionally known as, "Joe, JoMarion, Boo, Joey", was born December 12, 1950
in Donalsonville, Georgia, to SFC (Ret.) Jack C. Collins and the late Vennie Vera Collins.
Joseph earned a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in Industrial Design, at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio. Joseph has over 35 years of progressive mechanical design and drafting experience through contract and direct work assignments. He was employed by Southern Company as a Senior Piping Designer.
As a result of their passion for Corvettes, Joseph and Ruth became members of the Classic Glass Corvette Club of Marietta, ICCC International Corvette Club, and the Notorious Vet Club Atlanta.
Joseph loved his wife, daughter, son in law, and family dearly. He touched many lives through his caring, vast wisdom, knowledge and great passion for life. He lived life and met every challenge with a "can-do" attitude, which extended across all racial and economic lines. Joseph was also an avid and compassionate history and war historian.

Cherishing his memories are, his loving wife, Ruth H. Collins; daughter, Annteaia C. (Brandon) Massey, of Union City, Georgia; Beloved Pet, Tess; Father, SFC (Ret.) Jack C. (Dorothy R.) Collins of Columbus, Georgia; three sisters, Mrs. Jacqueline Y. (Carlos) Gray of LaGrange, Georgia, Ms. Anita R. Collins of Auburn, Georgia, and Ms. MarciaL. Collins of Stockbridge, Georgia; foster brother, Superintendent Ronnie (Rose Mary) Duckworth of Columbus, Georgia; one nephew, JoMarcus D. Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; three great nieces; one great nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
