Leonard was born to the union of Laron and Doshia Clark on May 10, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He joined Cobb Bethel A.M.E. Church during his early childhood where he served as a faithful member of the Sunday School, Youth Choir and Usher Board.
After attending Henry McNeal Turner High School and Morehouse College, Leonard completed his military duty. He served one tour in Vietnam after which he received an honorable discharge with the United States Army.
His work record ended with IBM where he worked diligently and was dependable as an employee.
Memories of Leonard will always be cherished by his sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ware (Mary Alice), Mr. and Mrs. Burtis Mabra (Mary Ann); brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Laron Clark, Jr. (Mary Ellen), Hampton, Virginia; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark (Eloise), and Mr. John Clark; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
