OBITUARY
Mrs. Katherine Scott Clarke, known as "Cat" was born August 17, 1940, in Clarke County to the Late Matthew & Bessie Scott. She departed this life Monday January 22, 2007.
She joined Arnold Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Clarke County School. She was employed by Seaboard Farms. She Married the Late Charlie T Clarke July 11, 1955 and around 1965 they moved to Atlanta Ga. which she worked varies jobs; she was employed with Tempo Properties, White's Contracting and had a Catering Service.
Katherine was an outgoing person who had compassion for all, and concern that endeared her to all who knew her. She was always ever ready to lend a helping hand to those who called on her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; Four Children: Mr. Randolph Clarke, Mr. Jeffery (Cassandra) Clarke, Mrs. Celia (Michael) Askew, and Mrs. Kathy (Jimmy) McCurty, she precede in death her husband Charlie T Clarke, two sons Mr. Edward Clarke, and Mr. Charlie Larry Clarke, and sister Mrs. Sarah L Howard. She has 18 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren two daughter-in-laws Ms. Jeanette Robinson, and Ms. Charlotte Clarke, Three sisters: Ms. Shirley Scott, Ms. Janie Burgess, and Ms. Florine (Joseph) Lumpkin, Two brothers: Mr. Ralph (Catherine) Scott, and Mr. Willie (Rose) Smith. In-laws are Mr. Myers Howard, Ms. Evelyn Kerrethers, Ms. Pearlie Mae McNeal, Ms. Jeanie McGhaee, Ms. Martha Gantt, Mr. Robert Lee Clarke, and Mr. Luke Clarke, Mother- law Ms. Willie Mae Clarke and the late Alonzo Clarke. One Aunt: Ms. Janie Scott and One Great Aunt: Ms. Sadie Winfrey. A special friend Mr. Anthony Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
