~ha Lee "Dee-Dee" Chambliss was born in Forsyth, Georgia
h ::March 5, 1953 to Charles and Gladys Chambliss. She was
the fifth of seven children. Her parents and brothers, Charles Jr., Robert, and Asa preceded her in death.
Dee-Dee received her education at Hubbard and Mary Persons High Schools in Forsyth, Georgia. She along with Greg Webb had one son, Craig. After the death of her mother she became the matriarch of her family, piloting them through good and bad.
She was a dedicated employee at the Varsity for thirty-five years. She looked forward to each and every day at the Varsity and enjoyed her work. The relationships she formed with coworkers and customers alike will last an eternity.
Dee-Dee accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at a young age and was a member of Kynette Methodist Church in Forsyth. The last few years she attended First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Atlanta. Upon the birth of Craig, she dedicated herself even more to living a righteous life. She stood up for what she believed and was very strong-willed.
Dee-Dee will be remembered as a God-fearing mother, sister, aunt and a heroic friend. She was loyal, a confidant, a counselor, encouraging, positive and one who truly loved the Lord. She put the needs of others before her own, giving generously to anyone in need.
God called His servant home on December 30, 2013. Her caring spirit and precious memories will be treasured by her son: Craig Webb; brother: Willie Chambliss; sisters: Doris Chambliss and Eloise Chambliss; aunt: Ethel King; nephews: Henry White and James Butler; numerous cousins, friends and a very special friend, J aida Danso.
