:M..r. Lawrence Cliatfes Carr; Sr. was
born January 10, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lee Preston Carr and Oretha Carr-Wilson. Lawrence was introduced to the Lord at an early age and baptized at Mount Mariah Baptist Church. Lawrence made his transition to his eternal, heavenly home on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Lawrence was affectionately known as "LC" to family and friends. He was educated through the Atlanta Public School System, attending Booker T. Washington High School. "LC" departed school early and enrolled in the Job Corps receiving his GED. He later enlisted in the United States Army. Aft~r returning from the Army, "LC" took on many different tasks and jobs. His favorite and most talented job for over twenty years was becoming a "self taught" Master Mechanic. He never met a car that he couldn't fix. In addition, "LC' loved to grill, dance and listen to the oldies music. One of his favorite songs was " The Hole in the Wall". He had a special love for his grandchildren and enjoyed being arourid family and friends.
Lawrence lived his life to the fullest, and will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him. He was proceeded in death by a son, Julius Huskey; two sisters, Emma Lowry and Anna Arnold; four brothers Leon Carr, Charlie Carr, Raymond Carr and Rosenberg Bostic.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Shirley Ann Henderson; two daughters Christiania Marshall (Phillip) and Michelle Royal (Wayne); two sons Lawrence C. Carr, Jr. (Benita) and Larry Carr (Lurelia); two brothers Lorenzo Carr, Sr. and Obenzo Carr; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grand children and a host of other extended relatives and friends.
