Deacon Norris Arthur Callier, Jr. was born August 18, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia to the union of the late Josephine Green Callier and Norris A. Callier, Sr.
He was educated 1n the Atlanta Public School System. He graduating from David F. Howard High School and furthering his education at Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 1996, from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) after twenty-six years of service.
He was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and served on the Deacon Board, Male Usher Board, Finance Committee, and the MOBC Boy Scout Council until his death.
He leaves to celebrate his homegoing: a loving father, Deacon Norris A. Callier, Sr.; a loving brother, Deacon William E. Callier, Sr.; a devoted companion, Ms. Vivian Richardson; two sons, Norris A. Callier, III (Shelia) and William A. Callier, Sr. (Sharon); two daughters, Mrs. Erica Owens (Audric) and Specialist LeJuan Callier, United States Army; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
