MR. WILLIE C. BUTLER 1918- 1977
Mr. Willie C. Butler was born on March 20, 1918 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Dolly and Jerry Butler. He departed this life on December J6, 1977 in San Francisco , California. after a brief illness. Willie was the eighth child born of nine children to Dolly and Jerry Butler.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Annie Maniece at the age of eighteen. One son, Eddie. was born to this union.
He confessed Christ and accepted Jesus as his Saviour at the age of fourteen and was baptized at Missionary Baptist Church in Sunflower, Mississippi.
He moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1942 and subsequently moved to San Francisco, California in 1943 . There he joined Providence Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his departure: His loving wife , Annie Lee Butler; his son, Eddie Raheem Abdullah Butler~ three grandsons: Jamal Abdullah Butler, Emmanuel Butler, and Kenn Butler~ one grand-daughter, Phelita Butler; two brothers, Mr. Henry and Arthur Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Pearlie Bennett and Mrs. Ella Jones~ and a host of relatives and friends.
He was a loving husband and father and lived a full and well life. His rules were only two: ''Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you." "Let each man word be his bond."
